changing pbinds on the run with quantization

hello.
im think the question has had been answered yet before - however i didnt manage to find a similiar question here.

what i was woundering to do is how

~a=0; (Pbind(\degree,Pfunc{~a})).play;
// this just lets a pbind play and i can change the degree (~a) on the run
~a=1;
// this will change ~a on the run

however i want ~a to be changed only after every time the Pbind has played for example 4 times the node.
so the period is 4 and when i change ~a on the run, it will get only changed after the the periode is over.

how could i manage to program something like this? how can i quantize it to a specific time? i mean the change.

thanks for reading & answering. byebye!~
