phase affecting level ? issue

Hello list
I have probably a irrelevant noob question:

Why is it that I have a difference in amplitude whilst i'm changing the
frequency of the amplitude modulator  ?
Pulse(2) * SinOsc
is louder than
Pulse(4) * SinOsc

and also what is the correct way to poll the amplitude of the output in the
post window?

        var clock = Pulse.ar(4);
        SinOsc.ar([8000,8000],0,clock)*0.1

Ndef(\sinewave2,{
        var clock = Pulse.ar(2);

Plotting out Pulse at various frequencies helps understand this. It seems that the audio rate version acts a little different than you would think when it is used as an lfo:

{Pulse.ar(1)*0.1}.plot(2);
{Pulse.ar(2)*0.1}.plot(2);
{Pulse.ar(10)*0.1}.plot(2);
{Pulse.ar(100)*0.1}.plot(2);

{Pulse.kr(1)*0.1}.plot(2);
{Pulse.kr(2)*0.1}.plot(2);
{Pulse.kr(10)*0.1}.plot(2);
{Pulse.kr(20)*0.1}.plot(2);

What you are probably expecting is what LFPulse (non band limited) gives:

{LFPulse.ar(1)*0.1}.plot(2);
{LFPulse.ar(2)*0.1}.plot(2);

wooow !! didn't expect it to look like that !

when band is limited which one is it ? which frequency?
what are the filters from pulse to lfpulse ?

why is double frequency=  level halfed ? it has to do with the filtering ?
