server mixup?

Noiseconformist
Hi,
sometimes I get this error which insists to occur until I reboot the server.

ERROR: Server-getControlBusValues only supports local servers

When I query s it returns 'localhost'.

I's kinda confusing, has anyone else seen this?

thanks, Michael.

hello everybody!

this thread is very old but I have exactly the same problem as Michael had 4 years ago...
I'm using various aBus.getSynchronous functions and every time I start a certain program for the first timeI get:
ERROR: Server-getControlBusValues only supports local servers

s returns localhost (I set it by default in the startup file)
s.hasShmInterface returns false.

I simply reboot the server and then everything is fine.
Just to provide additional informations every time I start the Server I always get the message:
Shared memory server interface initialised

...still working on sc 3.6.6

thanks

This should be fixed in 3.7 - can you give it a try?
